Veteran Programs
Through meaningful interaction with horses—gentle, intuitive animals who respond to human emotions—participants gain a renewed sense of trust, confidence, and connection. Whether in the saddle or on the ground, veterans are guided to explore healthy communication, develop leadership skills, and find calm in the present moment. These experiences not only support emotional regulation and self-awareness but also foster a sense of purpose and community on the path to recovery.
Integrated Riding Program
At Horses Healing Hearts WNY, we believe in the transformative power of the horse-human connection. Our equine programs provide children and adults with special needs a unique opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, and socially through horseback riding and hands-on interaction with horses.

I have been going to Wolcott Farms almost weekly for the past 3 years. My time spent there has truly had a profoundly positive impact on my life, especially my mental health. The beauty, peace, and tranquility that I experience when I am there has helped me to become a calmer, more centered, more grateful, and more mindful person. When I first started going there, I did not know much about horses. The Wolcott Family was so very kind, friendly, and enthusiastic to share their farm life and knowledge with me. I immediately felt comfortable and that I had found that special sanctuary that I had been searching to find. Their horses are so very smart, gentle, and each one is uniquely special in their own way. My interactions with their horses and other animals has definitely soothed my soul and quieted my mind. The horses love and healing qualities always transform me into a happier and healthier version of myself.
